Kicking things off Sunday evening we’ll dive right into getting to know one another over an intimately designed and fabulously styled welcome dinner and we’ll hear from guest speaker Katie O. Selvidge! Classroom time begins Monday morning with Amanda Watson as she discusses multiple topics from branding & shooting for your ideal client, to vendor relationships, shooting film (and digital and when to do it) plus so much more! Classroom time will lead into an amazing styled boudoir and engagement session Monday afternoon/evening as well as hands on tips and posing guides. Tuesday we will have classroom time in the morning and hear from guest speaker Megan of Wedding Sparrow and we will have an amazing afternoon/evening wedding styled shoot with stations and small groups so there is plenty of one-on-one shooting time. And lastly, Wednesday’s farewell brunch will be the perfect setting for q&a and headshots!
Registration is $2450 and includes your workshop attendance, hotel accommodations, welcome dinner Sunday evening, all meals Monday & Tuesday, brunch on Wednesday as well as transportation to and from styled shoots. Airfare and transportation to and from airport are not included.

What is included?
Your registration includes shared accommodations for 3 nights, meals all day Monday & Tuesday, a fabulous welcome dinner Sunday evening and a farewell brunch Wednesday morning. Transportation to and from styled shoots is also provided but it is your responsibility to get to and from the hotel on arrival and departure days. A wonderful welcome bag, amazing styled shoots, the speakers time and attention as well as many other surprises and perks are also in store!
What should I bring?
Your equipment, whether film or digital, and if you are wanting to make the leap into shooting more film I strongly suggest leaving your digital gear at home! For those bringing film gear, a minimum of 20-30 rolls is recommended. Amanda will be shooting primarily with Portra 400 and a few rolls will be provided to you.
What if I’m a digital shooter?
Then welcome! There will be a lot of discussion about film but Amanda will also be covering her film & digital process and there will be a lot of benefits for digital shooters as well.
What skill level is required for this workshop?
From beginner to seasoned professional, all levels of photographer are able to benefit from the speakers and styled shoots! A moderate knowledge of basic shooting is essential but assistance will be available on simple principals such as loading and rating film to using a light meter!
Can I use the images in my portfolio?
Absolutely! We do require all posts provide proper vendor credit and a complete list will be provided to you – you will also be able to submit images for features and/or publications and instructions will be given during the workshop.
